New Kind of Talk is a 6-piece contemporary electric jazz group, featuring some of the most talented and musical players in the area. I’ve always enjoyed writing instrumental music that would reach a wider audience than select “jazz fans” but still had a jazz flavor and featured improvisation. Been doing this since the 80’s. To me, music is all about communication. Communication between band members, as well as communication to the listening audience. The music is a lot of fun to play…and to listen to. Our message is positive. New Kind of Talk has been described as “An infectious fusion of jazz, rock, Latin, funk and other genres.” (Jazziz magazine)
